Police on hunt in two recent robbery incidents

The Arlington County Police Department is on the case in two recent robbery incidents.

• On Aug. 30 at 11 p.m., a woman was in the area of North Glebe Road at Pershing Drive when a woman who is known to her approached, shoved her to the ground and grabbed her backpack, Arlington police said.

The suspect then stole the contents of the victim’s backpack before boarding a bus and fleeing the scene, police said.

No injuries were reported.

• On Aug. 31 at 7:40 p.m., a man was walking in the area of North Irving Street and 12th Street North when he was approached from behind by three men, Arlington police said.

The suspects demanded cash and threatened the victim by placing an object, possibly a firearm, against his back, police said.  The suspects then stole cash from the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.

No injuries were reported, and there are no suspect descriptions.
