Police: Grand-larceny suspect in custody after home entered

On Feb. 3 at 3:16 p.m., a resident of the 1700 block of North Pierce Street heard someone enter the home and observed a man in the home, Arlington police said.

The victim confronted the suspect, who subsequently left, police said.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that, between 1 and 3:30 p.m., the suspect allegedly entered another nearby residence and stole electronics before leaving the scene.

The suspect – 21-year-old David Rivas Cruz of Arlington – was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and grand larceny.

The stolen items were recovered, police said.
