Arlington County government 55+ programs are held indoors at 55+ Centers unless otherwise noted. A membership (starting at $20 annually) is required to participate.

Arlington’s 55+ centers will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.

Maximizing the use of Bluetooth technology will be the topic of a forum led by volunteer Ben Childers on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Walter Reed 55+ Center. [Registration #913403-07]

Croquet for beginners to advanced levels will be offered on Tuesday and Friday, May 28 and 31, at 2 p.m. each day at Walter Reed 55+ Center. [Drop-in; no registration required]

• Lubber Run 55+ Center hosts a 55+ Fitness Day and Health Fair on Wednesday, May 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at the center. The community is invited; membership in the 55+ program is not required. There will be health screenings, fall-risk assessments, fitness-class demonstrations and Q&A sessions with dietitians, pharmacists and insurance counselors, among others. • Members of the wood-carvers’ group at Langston-Brown 55+ Center will provide instruction during a program on Thursday, May 30 at 1 p.m. [Drop-in; no registration required]

• The story of Native American soldiers’ paths to citizenship will be discussed by a representative of the National Museum of the U.S. Army in an online program set for Thursday, May 30 at 1:30 p.m. [Registration #913400-37]

• Lubber Run 55+ Center director Ashley Gomez will provide an introduction to streaming services and how to use them on Thursday, May 30 at 6 p.m. at the center. Participants should bring their laptops or other devices. [Registration #913403-09]

• A “crafternoon” social group of experienced yarncrafters, knitters and crocheters will meet for create items then take at stroll around the indoor track at Lubber Run Community Center on Friday, May 31 at 3 p.m. [Drop-in; no registration required]
