Arlington County government 55+ programs are held indoors at 55+ Centers unless otherwise noted. A membership (starting at $20 annually) is required to participate.

• A jigsaw-puzzle contest and swap will be held on Monday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Langston-Brown 55+ Center. Attendees should bring a puzzle to swap; puzzles are provided for the contest. [Registration #913600-24]

• Katarzyna Rybka-Iwanska, head of public and cultural diplomacy for the Embassy of Poland, will discuss the country’s famous artists, scientists, culinary traditions and more in an online program to be held on Tuesday, April 30 at 1:30 p.m. [Registration #913400-19]

• Experienced genealogist Eileen Bogdanoff will discuss using DNA testing to assist in documenting family histories during a program on Wednesday, May 1 at 11 a.m. at Langston-Brown 55+ Center. [Registration #913400-41]

• AARP speakers Bob Eiffert and Jane King will host a home-modification workshop on Wednesday, May 1 at 1 p.m. at Aurora Hills 55+ Center. [Registration #913404-14]

• The opera-appreciation group at Lubber Run 55+ Center will listen to musical selections from Bizet’s “Carmen,” with professional commentary from George Cecchetti, on Wednesday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. [Registration #913300-10]

• The 55+ Travel group will explore the “Park Chan-kyong: Gathering” exhibition at the Sackler Gallery on Wednesday, May 1. The cost is $9 for Arlington residents, $10 for others. [Registration #902405-01]

• Presenters Carole Lieber and Sheila Budoff will share memories and photos of their recent visits to the Mauthausen and Auschwitz concentration camps as part of a Holocaust Remembrance Day event on Thursday, May 2 at 3 p.m. at Lubber Run 55+ Center.
