Arlington County government 55+ programs are held indoors at 55+ Centers unless otherwise noted. A membership (starting at $20 annually) is required to participate.

• Students in the 55+ ukulele class taught by Sandy O’Shea at Walter Reed 55+ Center will host a recital on Tuesday, March 28 at 5 p.m. [Registration #913304-07]

• Teams of samba (a card game that is a variation of canasta) players are forming at Walter Reed 55+ Center on Tuesday, March 28 at 1 p.m. Beginners welcome. [Drop-in; no registration required]

Amphibians are the harbingers of spring, and a naturalist from Gulf Branch Nature Center will discuss the creatures on Wednesday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at Aurora Hills 55+ Center. [Registration #913400-09]

Arlington Neighborhood Villages executive director Wendy Zenker will provide an update on the organization during an online event on Wednesday, March 29 at 11:30 a.m. [Registration #913303-03]

• The Library of Virginia’s genealogy series will focus on women in World War I and World War II in an online program by outreach specialist Ashley Craig on Thursday, March 30 at 2 p.m. [Registration #913400-02]

• A local version of “Name That Tune” featuring music of the 1950s-60s-70s and led by musician Carl Gold will be offered on Friday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at Langston-Brown 55+ Center. [Registration #913304-11]

• A “spring fling” fashion show presented by Blossom Boutique and featuring 55+ program participants as models, will be held on Friday, March 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lubber Run 55+ Center. The event also will include a silent auction. The cost is $5 (cash only). [Registration #913899-02]
