The Arlington campus of George Mason University will host an exhibition “Edges of What I Feel,” an exhibition of recent artworks by members of the Healing Artists Collective.

The exhibition, curated by artist and George Mason School of Art professor Peter Winant, focuses on “exposing the raw and uncomfortable day-to-day struggles posed by mental-health issues as a result of chronic pain, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual assault and domestic violence,” organizers said.

Works by C-J Davis, Moe Lewis, Liz Louise, Steven Luu, Abulrahman Naanseh, Alanna Rivera, Adrian Scalzo, Michelle A. Smith and Tessie Van Dyke will be on display.

“These artists offer hope” that trauma can be overcome, organizers said.

The exhibition runs from June 2 to Aug. 26 at Mason Exhibitions Arlington, 3601 North Fairfax Drive on the Mason campus. The gallery is open Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 8 p.m.
