Marymount announces its 2024 commencement speakers

Marymount University has announced speakers for its 73rd annual commencement ceremonies, to be held over three days May 10-12.

Approximately 930 students are slated to be awarded degrees during the ceremonies.

Commencement speakers will receive honorary degrees and deliver remarks during the following ceremonies:

• Christopher Nassetta, president/CEO of Hilton Worldwide, will speak at the May 10 ceremony of the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership and Technology. He will be introduced by William Cueto, a 1991 Marymount graduate and president of Asset Health.

• Raul Fernandez, a co-owner of Monumental Sports, will speak at the May 11 ceremony of the College of Sciences and Humanities. He will be introduced by Ian Hopper, a 1996 Marymount graduate and consular section chief of the U.S. consulate in Toronto.

• Marlene Malek, a 1979 nursing-degree graduate of Marymount and currently vice chair of the university’s board of trustees, will speak at the May 12 ceremony of the College of Health Education. She will be introduced by 2008 Marymount graduate Yinka Adepoju, CEO of Salus Health and Bravo Ventures.
