Kenmore Middle School students and staff raised more than $5,000 and placed in the top four for fund-raising for the annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge.
Eighth-grader Noah Johnson for the second year was top individual fund-raiser for the initiative.
The Kenmore Cougars Team included teachers Eurith Bowen, Candace Scott, Katelyn Guerrero and Karen Edwards; administrators Jason Love, Octavia Knigge, Cherita Harrod and Dave McBride; and students Andrew Alvarado, Noah Johnson, Tylor Herbas Ramallo and Leif Young.
Funds raised will support Kenmore’s Unified Sports basketball team and the all-school “Inclusion Revolution,” which celebrates students with disabilities during a pep rally.
