[UPDATED 8/6/23 TO REFLECT NEW PARKING RULES, OPTIONS]

Planning ahead on parking may be key to success in getting to the Arlington County Fair, which runs Aug. 16-20 at Thomas Jefferson Community Center.

Parking on nearby streets will be restricted to neighborhood residents with temporary permits for the duration of the fair. And there will be no public parking this year in the garage located underneath adjacent Alice West Fleet Elementary School.

Other options, however, abound.

Off-site parking is available at Faith Lutheran Church at 3313 Arlington Blvd.; fair attendees can then take the pedestrian bridge over Arlington Boulevard to access the fair.

Shuttles will operate continuously throughout the fair to and from the Ellen Bozman Government Center, 2100 Clarendon Blvd.

There is a designated area along South Old Glebe Road and the corner of 2nd Street South for drop-off/pick-up only. Drivers of vehicles idling in this location for more than two minutes will be asked to move.

Outdoor fair events begin Wednesday, Aug. 16, with indoor events starting Friday, Aug. 18 and running through Sunday, Aug. 20. Cole Amusements again this year will provide rides, and a host of other entertainment and activities will take place.
