Virginia’s General Assembly has sent a “Happy Hundredth!” message to the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

The resolution, patroned by state Sen. Adam Ebbin, salutes the business organization on its centennial, which is being marked with special events throughout 2024.

“For the past 100 years, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce has been a vital part of what makes Arlington County a wonderful place to live, work and conduct business,” notes the resolution, which passed both houses of the legislature without opposition.

Founded in 1924, the business organization has developed a membership roster of more than 700 spanning businesses of all size and more than 100 non-profit organizations, and serves as the “voice for Arlington business” in policy matters at the local and state level, the resolution noted.
