The Arlington Department of Human Services’ annual holiday-giving program is seeking contributions to support more than 1,000 individuals in need throughout the community.
The program – known colloquially as “Secret Santa” – supports children in foster care, residents with disabilities, teen parents, COVID-impacted households, and seniors and families with low income.
Donations of gift cards (or financial contributions that will be turned into gift cards) are accepted throughout the holiday season.
“Individuals, church groups, schools and neighborhoods have all taken part in the past, “county officials said. “Making it a group effort is a great holiday project.”
Gift cards should not exceed $25 each, but multiple cards can be contributed.
