Debate has raged over whether county has too many – and if so, what then?

Virginia Cooperative Extension has opened a community survey, looking at the impact of deer in the community.

“Information gathered will assist Extension Master Gardeners as they interact with the public on landscape management, urban-agriculture education and future outreach programs,” the agency said. “Participation in this short survey is voluntary and anonymous.”

The survey, which will be open until March 30, can be found at https://bit.ly/3ItdsJ2.

The question of whether deer are too numerous in Arlington – and, if so, how to address the issue – has been a controversial topic for several years. Some have said the deer population in the local area is too large, others that it is not, and there has been disagreement over how to address the situation.
