On Feb. 10 at 12:34 a.m., a man jumped in front of a vehicle in the 2000 block of Clarendon Boulevard and began yelling while holding what appeared to be a box-cutter, Arlington police said.

The victim in the vehicle left the scene, and responding officers located the suspect in the area and took him into custody, police said.

The suspect was non-compliant, resisted and assaulted an officer, causing minor injuries, police said. A search of his person recovered a box-cutter, police said.

The suspect – 37-year-old Brian Tucker of Arlington – was arrested and charged with assault on police, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction of justice and public intoxication. He was held without bond and was evaluated on scene by medics for injuries sustained prior to the arrival of officers, police said.
