Arlington students tapped to attend Governor's School programs

Summer classes will take place at venues across commonwealth

Arlington students have been selected to attend the Summer Residential Governor’s Schools.

The programs provide high-school juniors and seniors with intensive educational experiences in visual and performing arts; humanities; medicine and health sciences; mathematics, science, and technology; or through mentorships in marine science, or engineering. The Governor’s Summer Residential World Language Academies will include full-immersion academies in French, German and Spanish; a partial-immersion Japanese Academy; and a Latin Academy.

Selected to participate, with their high schools in parentheses, were:

> Visual Performing Arts: Lauren Bissett (Wakefield); Vivian Haley (Wakefield); Angelina Kaminsky (Wakefield); Nicholas Krug Weinberg (Wakefield); Kaitlyn Runion (Arlington Career Center).
