A member of the staff of the Arlington County government’s Department of Environmental Services has been tapped as a nearby locality’s new public-works director.
Brad Baer, who served as chief of the Arlington government’s Facilities Design and Construction Bureau, was selected owing to his “experience in successfully leading teams in planning, design, construction and maintenance” both in Arlington and in the U.S. Navy, where he served for 22 years, said Vienna Town Manager Mercury Payton in announcing the appointment.
