June 1 will be “Arlington Public Schools Night at D.C. United” as the Washington area’s men’s professional soccer team takes on Toronto FC at 7:30 p.m.

Arlington students will present the colors and perform the National Anthem, and ticket prices are being discounted for school-system families.

“We look forward to celebrating the end of the school year with APS Day at D.C. United,” Superintendent Francisco Durán said.

(In his enthusiasm, the superintendent got his Canadian cities mixed up, saying  in his weekly report to the community that D.C. United would be playing a team from Montréal, which does had a Major League Soccer squad but isn’t the one appearing on June 1.)
