Arlington police investigate several shots-fired incidents

The Arlington County Police Department over the past week investigated a number of shots-fired incidents.

• On Jan. 29 at 10:41 a.m., officers were on a separate call for service when they heard possible shots fired in the 2400 block of South Lowell Street, Arlington police said.

During the course of the investigation, officers recovered evidence confirming that shots had been fired.

Witnesses reported a dark-colored sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed, but there was no suspect description, police said.

• On Jan. 30 at 1:52 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Harrison Street for a report of shots heard, Arlington police said.

During the course of the investigation, officers recovered evidence that shots had been fired in the area, and located property damage to two residences.

A witness reported seeing three male suspects flee the scene in a sedan, police said.

• On Jan. 31 at 10:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of 31st Street South for a report of shots heard, Arlington police said.

Responding officers recovered evidence in the roadway confirming shots had been fired, police said.
