Arlington County Board member Matt de Ferranti will chair the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission for the coming year.
De Ferranti was unanimously selected for the post at the body’s Jan. 3 meeting.
De Ferranti succeeds Dalia Palchik of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, who chaired the regional body in 2023.
