Journey will run in November, and is open to community

It’ll be two firsts for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s travels to Asia in 2023.

The program is back for the first time since the onset of the pandemic, and instead of the usual destination of China (which is largely still closed to visitors), the organization’s contingent will travel to Vietnam.

The journey runs from Nov. 4-13, taking in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, How An, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta.

“Travelers will visit memorable sites, both ancient and modern, and enjoy a multitude of unforgettable experiences,” Chamber officials said. “We are convinced that this will be one of the most unique trips you will ever take.”

The excursion is offered in conjunction with Citslinc International, which has been the Chamber’s partner for previous trips to Asia. The cost for early-bird registration (before May 16) is $2,499 for Chamber members, $2,699 for non-members, including air transportation from Washington Dulles International Airport, accommodations in four- and five-star hotels, three meals daily, an English-speaking tour guide in each city and entrance fees for all attractions. Obtaining passports and visas are the responsibility of the traveler.

An informational session for prospective participants will be held on Tuesday, May 9 at the Chamber’s offices. The registration deadline is July 10.
