More than 200 volunteers from local businesses and organizations came together April 19 for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s 25th annual Arlington Chamber Volunteer Day.
Sponsored by Amazon and presented by the business organization’s Community Action Committee, the annual event “provides an opportunity for nonprofits to develop relationships with Arlington businesses, and for businesses to give back to the community,” Chamber officials said.
Throughout the day, volunteers completed various projects for 13 local nonprofits. Projects ranged from cleaning and organizing sites to trash collection, painting classrooms and making food baskets.
A kickoff lunch was held for all participants at Kitchen of Purpose. Following the kickoff and lunch, volunteers completed afternoon projects at project sites.
