Sellers of condominiums across the Washington region garnered a median 1.4-percent more in the first quarter of 2023 than they did a year before, according to new data.
The median sales price of condos in the Washington region was $345,700 during the January-February-March period, up from $341,000 a year before, according to figures reported by the National Association of Realtors.
The local region’s increase was less than half the national growth rate of 3.5 percent year-over-year in the condo sector. The median national condominium sales price stood at $326,900, with all areas of the country but the West posting increases.
As with the single-family market, the Washington region hit its current peak, price-wise, during the second quarter of 2022. During that three-month period, the median condominium sales price was $361,000.
Figures for the first quarter of 2023 are preliminary and are subject to revision.
