Arlington and Fairfax counties led the Washington region in median home-listing price for the week ending Feb. 25, according to data reported by Bright MLS, the area’s multiple-listing service.
Arlington led all comers with a median listing price of $789,950, followed by Fairfax at $775,000, Loudoun County at $699,900 and the District of Columbia at $665,000.
The median is the point at which half of homes sell for more, half for less. Figures include listing prices for all types of homes – single-family, attached (townhouses/rowhouses) and condominiums.
Across the metro area, the median listing price for the week ending Feb. 25 was $614,990, according to Bright MLS. That’s up 2.5 percent from the preceding week and an increase of 3.4 percent from a year before.
